Another neat thing about this system is that it “translates” text and features into HTML. When a guest begins to exit, you can get their attention by launching “Exit Pops.” A new window opens with a “click or cancel” function and a voice says ‘Wait-before you go…” It is very effective, and so unexpected and innovative that it is not at all annoying.

BMW leads German Trio for November sales

BMW along with its fellow German luxury car makers Mercedes and Audi reported November’s sales increase was 20% compared to last year. Mercedes reported a 14% year on year increase while Audi reported a 5.2% increase.

The revamped BMW 5 Series released in <a href=”http://www.john-clark.co.uk/location/681/BMW-Edinburgh”>BMW Edinburgh</a> and the new X1 Sport Utility Vehicle has attracted new and existing customers. Deliveries of BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce cars rose by 20% to 128,014 units, Audi sold 87,050 vehicles while Mercedes sold 112,300 units.

Most global manufacturers have suggested that the emergence of the Chinese automotive market and the resurrection in the US market has helped car makers through the last few months. Audi’s A1, A7 and A5 have helped Audi attract more customers, BMW’s new 5 Series and X1 SUV helped the brand build momentum for the end of the year.
A German stock broker said, “At BMW, you can clearly see the strong success of the new products that will continue with the new 6-Series next year, followed up later by the 1- Series.” So the next year or so should be good for BMW especially as it continues to introduce new striking models and revamps of current one.

Audi which publically stated that it aims to overtake BMW as the luxury-auto sales leader by 2015 said its deliveries in the 11 months through November surpassed the full-year sales record set in 2008, with more than 1 million vehicles sold. But, BMW has defended its strong lead this year by increasing year on year sales by 15% to 1.11million units.

Breach of real estate contract?

purchased a home two years ago in a developing subdivision. The development (as well as all of the literature we received) called for 51 “retro style” houses – narrow lots, sidewalks, alleys. Now the developer (who also owns the realty office handling the sale of all of the homes as well as the general contracting business that is actually constructing the homes) wants to re-zone then sell the remaining property. He is requesting only 11 more homes be built and the remaining land be developed into condos. The city’s planning commission meeting is on the 18th where they will vote on whether or not to allow the rezoning to be approved. Needless to say, all of the existing homeowners are ANGRY. We have contacted our alderman and know that there’s strength in numbers. Any other thoughts or suggestions as to how to help us stop this would be GREATLY appreciated. Please help! Unless your purchase contract included a proviso that the subdivision was guaranteed to be completed as advertised, you’re going to have problems. Your real estate contract is only breached if it prevents this change, and if the change occurs.

Your best bet is to attend all meetings covering this request (and I mean ALL homeowners, not just a few) and voice your disapproval at every opportunity. Get together with neighbors and start developing good solid reasons why this change would be harmful to current owners. Do remember that ‘not liking it and being angry’ aren’t going to go very far.

Condos might bring more ‘transient residents’ than would single family homes, and also increase traffic, since the housing is more densely concentrated. Those are a couple of potential reasons you could use, and I’m certain there are more.
